Hurricane Irma impacting the Treasure Coast

The following is a report from www.TCPalm.com this AM.

St. Lucie County announced about 9:45 a.m. it's closing the bridges to the barrier islands, but residents can still evacuate until noon.

Deputies will remain on the west side of the north and south bridges until it's no longer safe, to make sure no one crosses onto the islands.

Officials Sunday morning reported some flooded roads and power outages throughout the county after a night of multiple tornado warnings.

The county has had 12.4 inches of rain over the last three days and officials expect another 4 inches in the next 24 hours.
